Clark's Diamond Jewelers

History

In 1907 Erik L. Overjorde came to Idaho from Kansas and opened a new jewelry store in the busy logging town of Coeur d'Alene. With his dedication to quality, service and value, his business prospered. His son, Bob Overjorde, carried on the business after his father passed away. Bob also worked as Harry Winston's right hand man. Bob carried the Hope Diamond to shows, in the pocket of his jacket, and had a great many stories to tell.

Dan Clark's parents, Ralph and Jean Clark, purchased this historic store over 40 years ago and continued the tradition of quality and service. Dan Clark grew up in the business working as a goldsmith. He graduated from the Gemological Institute of America in 1978. Dan has spent the last 20 years traveling the world in search of the finest diamonds and rare gemstones.

Today, over 100 years later, the Clarks remain as dedicated as ever a simple philosophy of providing the very best products, a knowledgable staff, and an upsurpassed quality of service.
